Let’s see what this anthology has:

• The first time Rolo started as a Lamperouge, he totally failed. In the classroom when asked to solve a math problem, he said ‘they haven’t learned that part yet’ and everybody whispered ‘what the heck, is he really Lelouch’s brother?’. When he totally excelled at physical education, people whispered again ‘what’s that? Is he really Lelouch’s brother’. Haha… He went home depressed, but was touched at Lelouch’s cooking his favourite food. He studied really hard after that, and awed people when he solves questions easily in the classroom
• Lelouch in a LIVE musical, wearing a totally ridiculous suit. Poor guy… He only agreed to it because Gino was also involved in the same embarrassing situation
• We all know Sayoko fangirls over Suzaku. As Lelouch’s kagemusha, she totally fanboys him and even invited him home. The one to see Suzaku? Of course, the actual Lelouch~ It turned out that what Sayoko blurted out was “I’D LIKE YOU TO CLEAN MY EARS” ~___~
• Rivalz totally got the wrong idea about Suzaku and Lelouch’s relationship, so when both of them seiged the throne, he went “I don’t know what’s truly happening, but I wish both of you happiness“. Haha..
• Moe C.C stitched Lelouch’s cape with rose pattens, and attached peacock feathers to his mask.Lelouch went mad, and yelled “IS THIS ON PURPOSE?!” and scared the heck out of Moe!C.C

IT’S OVER!!! THE NAKED TRUTH ARC IS OVER!!

I don’t know if I should feel sad or happy right now. I’ve been waiting for this arc to be over for like… forever! Now that it’s over and done with, I really am going to miss all the ‘desperately waiting for the next chapter because 2 months is a long wait’ routine. But but but!!

HANDS UP WHO THINKS THE CONCLUSION IS WAAAAAAAAAAAY TOO SHORT!! D:< I know I do.

Yamane-sensei spared us the angst of Akihito really getting shot. Asami was relieved to see the bullet isn’t dislodged in Akihito’s body. and here I was hoping for some bitersweet angst. In his shocked state, Akihito didn’t notice Asami holding him at first. But when he noticed (T for Takaba, because Asami already has the A):

T: Asami… Why… Why…
T: WHY DIDN’T YOU COME SOONER!
T: I WAITED FOR YOU!! I WAITED FOR SIGNS OF YOU!!
A: MY BAD…
T: I… Nothing but you… I did nothing but wait for you…

Oh my God….

Akihito shielded Fei Long from Asami. He didn’t want both of them to go on having grudges on each other, and wanted all the rivalry between them to stop. They needed to come to an understanding. Fei Long, for my absolute relief, was sincere when he said he kind-of fell for Akihito :3

And Yoh… YOH! I think I can hope for a Yoh x Fei properly now?

How come Mikhail got such an unimportant closure, though? I thought for sure he’d at least be injured. He just looked totally bored at the end.

M: It’s the end already? How boring…

The long awaited Asami x Akihito smex is so sweet beyond words. Asami was thinking of Takaba, and how he definitely wouldn’t want to let go of him anymore. His thoughts are sweeeeeeeetttt (too much for a yakuza):

A: Takaba Akihito…
A: I wish (hope) you’d love only me.

And the end words?

T: The existence of this man standing before my eyes is too large
T: I can’t go back to my previous self anymore
T: But…
T: I’ll be fine with whatever happens after this

A Random xxxHOLic Rambling

Since D.Gray-Man 177 is delayed again because of Hoshino-sensei’s sudden illness, I’ve been sulking because of having to wait another week (oh, suspense!) for the chapter. And as I’m also impatiently waiting for XXXHOLic 168, I wonder if I should keep up with Tsubasa too.

I actually do NOT want to read Tsubasa and xxxHOLic at the same time because everytime I do so, I’m always feeling the WTFness of the plot. I haven’t read Tsubasa for about two months, only keeping up with XXXHOLic. But the way things are going, it seems like I need to keep up with both ;__;

Dammit, FWR. It’s annoying enough having your self-centred self in Tsubasa, and now you’re x-over-ing yourself further into the other manga as well. And geez, xxxHOLic Kei is taking forever to progress.

But I can’t complain much, can I, Clamp-senseis? Since Doumeki/Watanuki is getting more and more apparent now…

I want this manga to end already. The WTFness will go on forever otherwise. FWR will keep bitching and Yuuko will keep slapping him away from Watanuki. I want Doumeki to have a larger role as the manga draws towards its climax, and I want Watanuki’s memories to return. So, ‘that time‘ that you guys keep muttering about in the Clamp-ishly mysterious way, please arrive quickly. *sigh* This is why I used to stick to mangas that come out in volumes.

Ever since it’s revealed that Watanuki is (in a way) Syaoran and Sakura’s son, the vagueness of his not-supposed-to-exist existence aside, I cannot unsee the mental image of an adult Syaoran gently teaching Watanuki how to cook, and telling him about the joy of cooking for people he cares about. *shudders* I can see Sakura doing that just fine, but yeah…

Speaking of volumes… I need more Genbu Gaiden!!

D.Gray-Man 169th Night Rant

Heck… What happened to my handsome Cross? Have I been waiting for the 169th Night of D.Gray-Man for this vagueness? Since I’m too lazy to search around now, I’d appreciate it a lot if someone could tell me where I can get the RAW chapters of DGM.

Hoshino-sensei, why, of all people in the whole DGM universe, why Cross? And now we’re not even certain of his life (or his death) ~_~ But the heck, if he’s alive, why leave Judgement behind?

D.Gray-Man 166th Night Rant

I… don’t know what to say about this chapter.

I’ve always known that Allen is somehow related to the 14th. I even suspected that Allen might have been the reincarnation of the 14th. Well, that alone is cruel enough.

But to be told straight to your face that you’re someone who have someone else’s memories implanted into your head so that you can be the host for that someone else’s revival into the mortal world… is too cruel.

Oh, Cross… Why, pray tell, didn’t you choose better wordings? All this while, Allen’s been angsting about his life being shaped by someone else’s hands all along. To be told that everything’s all a part of a plan…

… is just plain cruel.

Is this some kind of a foreshadow that Allen would someday fully become the 14th? What would become of his memories of being just Allen, then?

The cure to my frustration in this chapter is Lavi’s hotness. No, seriously.

Sekai Ichi Hatsukoi ~Onodera Ritsu no Baai~

Upload’s done! CLAMP-SENSEI RECOMMENDS SEKAI ICHI HATSUKOI: There was a rumour going on before, that Clamp would be doing an illustration comment on the release of Sekai Ichi Hatsukoi tankoubon. So, there you go~ The rumoured illustration comment from Clamp-sensei stated in Romantica Club promo pamphlet. (Ha! I always knew Clamp is a strong supporter of BL, but I wish they’d hurry up with Gohou Drug.) Next time, I should check with Kadokawa Shoten first. This tankoubon… only includes the first two chapters of Sekai Ichi Hatsukoi - the first chapter that was published in THE RUBY in November 2006 and the second chapter that was pubished in THE RUBY VOL.2 in July 2007. No chapter 3, so NO ISAKA T_T. Thank goodness Shungiku-sensei presented us with chapter 2.5, and a very pretty full-coloured illustration (gah! the Nowaki-Shinobu resemblance is still uncanny!) Seriously, Kadokawa had to be joking when they said ‘only one volume’. SIH can’t have only one volume!! With the publication of the 4th chapter, this call for another tankoubon! Grr…

I’ll put that issue aside first. By the way, we already have Suzuki-san, piyo (cute little chicks~), ahiru (rubber ducky) and pandas as the mascots for Junjou series. I think we have mascots too for SIH. This cute bunny (and a cat that only appeared in the Drama CD cover so far)~

I guess we all should have seen this coming, since SIH is still in Junjou universe. So now, before download links are posted, I’ll write some info on what SIH is all about for those who haven’t read it.

Characters: Saga/Takano Masamune, Onodera Ritsu, Yokozawa Takafumi, Hatori Yoshiyuki (reminds me of JR’s Asahina), Kisa Shouta, Mino Kanade

Background Info + Summary: Sekai Ichi Hatsukoi (SIH) is a love comedy between Onodera Ritsu and Takano Masamune, set in Nakamura Shungiku’s famous Junjou Romantica universe. The characters are employees working for Marukawa Shoten (yes, that also translates as Isaka’s employees). While Junjou gives us the novel-publishing part of the company, SIH allows us to see the manga-publishing part of Marukawa, where Takano is the editor-in-chief for a shoujo manga publication. His subordinates are constantly pressured into working extra hours, and Ritsu, who transferred to Marukawa from Onodera Shuppan (his father’s company), got himself into more than one trouble with his own decision.

That is… Takano Masamune happened to be Saga Masamune, his senpai whom he went out with 10 years ago when they were still at school. Takano and Ritsu didn’t part on good terms; Ritsu believed that he was toyed by Takano when his declaration of love was answered with a laugh. Takano, however, had no idea Ritsu thought that way, and couldn’t forget Ritsu even after 10 years. He couldn’t be with anybody else because of his memory of Ritsu, and Ritsu couldn’t be with anybody else because of Takano too. Now, as they meet each other again in a new environment, Takano firmly tells Ritsu “I’ll make you say you love me again. Prepare yourself!”. Ritsu is torn between the affection he still holds for Takano and his feelings of being hurt.

As if Ritsu is not troubled enough by having to see Takano every day at work, he later finds out that Takano is actually his next-door neighbour:

Takano: That’s fast.
Takano: Have you come to confess already?
Ritsu: Huh? What are you talking about? Speaking of which, this is…
Ritsu: … my house, but… (since about a year ago)

Takano’s is #1201 while his is #1202. This explains why he keeps feeling his heartbeat getting faster in Takano’s presence, not only because Takano is Saga-senpai, his first love and first heartbreak.

To make things worse while Takano and Ritsu play a game of hide-and-seek and hard-to-get (on Ritsu’s part, at least), Ritsu is cornered occasionally by the manager, Yokozawa Takafumi (dubbed as Marukawa Shoten’s famous violent bear), who is a close acquaintance of Takano. Can he just fall in love peacefully this time around?? Yokozawa obviously knows who Ritsu is, and of Ritsu and Takano’s past, based on this conversation:

Yokozawa: Did you come because you know Masamune is in Marukawa?
Ritsu: Huh? Excuse me, what are you talking about?
Yokozawa: Do you know that it’s your fault Masamune became all strange?
Ritsu: ‘Huh? My fault? What is? What is this person saying?’
Ritsu: Er… Excuse me. You meant to say that…
Yokozawa: … I don’t want to worry about it.

The resemblance between Yokozawa and Takano is uncanny. But well, Yokozawa also looks a LOT like Isaka. I thought they were brothers at first. I was like “Ah, too bad his name isn’t Isaka.” Or maybe he’s related to Takano, because he calls Takano by his first name (Ritsu is troubled by this). Download to read it yourselves~ All of my scans for SIH are either 300dpi or 150dpi in quality, hence the size. Also, note that in SIH, chapters are called ‘No.’ (as in number, #) as opposed to ‘Act’ in JR.

D.Gray-Man 165th Night Rant

Ah, how long has it been since I last wrote anything about DGM? I kind of miss my darling Kanda already XP So the last few filler chapters had been so amusing, but I really want them to finish with the the darn ghost already. It would be so amusing to see the anime version of the ghost filler, though (and I shall wait patiently until that episode comes, IF they decide to retain it). And back to chapter 165…

Yay! The story is finally going somewhere I didn’t notice that they were wearing their new Exorcist uniforms until Johnny mentioned it. After getting a good look at the uniform, I had to say that it somehow reminded me of Hogwarts? The badge placement was even in the right place.

I’m going to miss their previous sexy uniform ~_~

Allen is on his way to mastering the art of controlling the Noah’s ark. Him, along with Johnny, Komui, Lenalee (O_o I almost typed Nunnally, wth?!) and a few others went ahead to the new HQ which looked more like a haunted castle. Well, the last one was a Pisa tower wannabe, so I guess it’s excusable (though it also kind of reminds me of Crowley’s old mansion in one way or another).

So things were going fine… until Levellier (sorry, I forgot how to spell this Hitler-wannabe’s name) showed up with his Hitler-ish smirk (which failed, I must say). Now we should wait for him to raise his hand to the air and say “HAIL THE BLACK ORDER!!”

Oops… I just went off tangent. But hey, this guy is so annoying that it’s just so much fun to poke fun at him!!

Poor Allen got childraped tied against his will, and just when I was wondering where the hell they were taking Allen to, the guard suddenly said Cross was behind the door. Huh? Cross? He needed to be bound to meet Cross? And he even need to change his clothes! I mean, hey, he was wearing the minimal amount of clothes to meet the Cross Marian??

Oh dear… Out with the mystery already, Cross. Your riddles are unbecoming (not that you are, anyway. But I’ll give you credits because of your good looks).

And is it just me, or did Timcanpy just grew AGAIN?

Hmm….

p.s/ We got to see Lavi and  Grumpy Ol’ Panda-jiji Bookman in this chapter. But where is my Kanda? WHERE ARE YUUUUUUU?? (pun intended)

Official Code Geass Knight Anthology 4 is coming~

Want! Want! Want! Want! Want!!!!! I had a good laugh with the first three anthologies, and I know this one would be just as nice. Code Geass - Hangyaku no Lelouch Knight - Official Anthology - For Girls Volume 4 will be on sale starting 27th July 2008. Ooh, it just happen to be the day after Doujin Overload too. I’ll order it straight away when it becomes available~ And a week after the start of my 2nd semester.

Why, oh why aren’t they taking pre-orders???

While I don’t ship romantic-mutual!LuluRolo, I’m a fan of everything regarding their sibling interaction. Let’s disregard the fact that Lulu said he wanted to use Rolo and then discard the boy like trash. The cover illustration is just so cute! Rolo looks like a male!Nunnally indeed, and Lelouch is as sexy as ever. He seems to look gayer by each episode, so it’s not surprising to see him gayer in official artworks

Will wait for it impatiently ^_^

Sekai Ichi Hatsukoi Update~

Tankoubon

Bought it! I’m a few days late, but well…(I really need to learn how to manage my money, don’t I?) Haha… Well, Sekai Ichi Hatsukoi tankoubon is finally released on July 1st 2008, which is a few days ago! I ordered one from JPQueen because… I can’t resist the temptation for more of Shungiku-sensei’s goodness. I’m patiently waiting for my copy to arrive. JPQueen sells it cheaper than one of my favourite store on eBay (Only $7.50 as opposed to $9.90).

The artwork looks a lot better in the tankoubon. It’s even better than the artwork for the novel

Something bugs me, though.

Takano looks like Nowaki and Ritsu looks like Shinobu! Aha~ Just the mental image of Nowaki being lovelove with Shinobu is enough to crack me up.

Okay, on second thought, I don’t want to imagine that.

While the previously released novel was from Takano’s side of the whole ordeal, the manga centers on Ritsu’s side. Why, pray tell, is it always the uke’s side given the utmost attention in mangas? Oh, right… They’re most likely to be the one in denial for a long time.

Drama CDs

The drama CD is to be released this month too, and the second one will be released in october 2008. I forgot to mention that with Junjou Romantica Illustration Collection, there was a small pamphlet (the pic to the left) promoting Sekai Ichi Hatsukoi Drama CDs. Shungiku-sensei’s cover art is <3

Featuring Konishi Katsuyuki (Soubi in Loveless XD XD) as Takano Masamune and Kondou Takashi (Hibari in KHR~) as Onodera Ritsu. I was half expecting Sakurai-sama when they first announced the drama CD, but well, we can’t have him overworked

Is it just me, or does all of Shungiku-sensei’s latest works come with cute mascots? We seem to have Tama and Usagi this time around.

Oh, the irony… I always wonder why Usagi (I’m mentioning Usagi as in Usagi-sensei :P) chose a normal teddy (though Suzuki-san was made in England, but still…) instead of an ‘usagi’. Hehehe…

But the resemblance to Nowaki and Shinobucchin in this artwork is too uncanny! x_x

I don’t know if I’ll be buying the drama CD. If there are some souls who are kind enough to share, I’ll listen first before buying one~ For anyone who pre-ordered before 30/06 earlier, they’ll be getting a special Cast Talk CD too ~_~

And I couldn’t get hold of the novel T_T It’s sold out in Yesasia, and I couldn’t find it anywhere else. Anybody has it and would like to share? I’d be grateful.
