I don’t think you’ll find the full download of this album someplace else, because I didn’t find any. I bought this collection not long ago when I was searching for nice orgel musics to listen too. Kind of makes me miss my music boxes at home. I have one in the shape of a coffin that sort of plays an orgel requiem that my brothers bought me. Ha… Anyway, this collection is a VERY sweet one. If you love Remioromen’s Konayuki, Yuna Ito’s ENDLESS STORY and Shibasaki Kou’s Katachi Aru Mono, why not grab this album~

The upload is going to take a while since my internet is… is… I have no words to describe the suckiness of Woosh Wireless right now. The only reason I stick to it is because of the contract. Sheesh… I wish I could terminate the account anytime. Any Malaysian using Streamyx (at least the 1mbps plan) happen to be reading this post at the moment? How is the connection currently? What should I expect when I go back this November for the holiday? Is it still very much TM-Nut Screamyx, by any chance? *sigh*

Doujin Overload 2008

Oh, dear… I’ve been hacked and denied access for a few weeks. Now that things are setted, I can go about updating this blog. I miss it so much ~_~

I seriously didn’t expect my second semester of 2008 would be so hectic. That, plus the storm and costant rain here in Auckland which caused everything to be so gloomy. The sky is clear as I’m typing this entry, but I can still hear the sky rumbling.

This is a looooong overdue entry about the event I attended on… er… July 27. Yes, so long ago ~_~

The wind was pretty strong that day, and being the idiot that I was, I didn’t bother to check the weather services. It turned out that last Saturday recorded the worse storm in the last decade, which resulted in three deaths and a crap load of damages. But anyway, I went to the event with Mira and Kaara (the latter joined us a bit later) after mine and Mira’s scheduled meeting with our course coordinator, Sheryl. When we reached Mercure Hotel, we were almost frozen.

There were several cosplayers at the entrance; Kuchiki Rukia mulling over her pink handphone got me gigling before I went through the door to see the works on display and on sale by the exhibitor.

I’m nursing my broken heart caused by the absence of Junjou Romantica with my other obsessions alongside some Junjou project I’m currently planning. I guess I’ll be stuck with angsting about CG until Sunrise fix the drama good. The preview kind of broke my heart with Lelouch’s monologue T__T

Doesn’t V.V look more psychotic now? I always wonder what Charles and him had under their sleeves. Or more precisely, what V.V himself was planning when Charles wasn’t around. That, or I might have been reading too much into the plot when V.V obviously gets more screentime than Charles.

I was watching these AMVs on Nico Nico: (THIS ONE) and (THIS ONE). I was wondering why the songs seemed familiar, and was suddenly struck with the sudden realisation that they were some of my favourite songs a couple of years back.

This post is to share the sweet songs by Oku Hanako. I’m not familiar with her involvement in anime music, but I love her singles. If you love soulful songs, lyrics full of emotions and the wonderful sound of piano and strings, have a go at her songs. If you’re a fanfic writer, and drama, romance or/and angst are your cup of tea (coffee!), her songs may well inspire you. Or give you mental images, at least. I know I did, like when I was listening to these lines from Shiroi Ashiato (White Footprints):

I’m a sucker for angsty romance kind of songs. Having an overly imaginative mind is one trait of mine that’s hard to control, as I tend to daydream (or day-mare for daydream + nightmare. Haha~) But really, I simply love songs that tell stories of heartfelt heartbreak, unrequited love, sweet hidden love, etc. You get the drift Her songs are easily understandable if you’re a learner of the Japanese language like me. Listen to them for practice purposes~

Forgot to post this earlier. I swear… This PV is psychotic towards the end. What kind of values are those people in charge of the PV trying to portray? Unless I was mistaken, I think I saw the mystery girl in the PV jump off the roof. And the cute stalker-ish guy with his SLR camera got a shock of his lifetime. Of course, he saw the whole thing through his viewfinder. Oh, my… No, not good at all ~_~

Seeing that Kimi=Hana is such a happy, addictive song, I expected the PV to be lively. Aside from the photos of flowers (as captured above) and the mystery girl, I couldn’t relate other scenes from the PV to the song. Nope.

So the girl continued to be a mystery, the guy would no doubt angst over and over and pigstar got the happy part. Because all they did was sing in the background, complete with head banging

Argh…. I want a happier PV!!!

Yes! So, finally the full song~ I finally got hold of the kanji writing, so expect a bit of change from previous translation. Just a tiny wee bit. And the single comes with another song by pigstar called ‘Gore’.

I don’t know why, and it may sound stupid, but this song gets me all emotional. Seriously, I don’t know why. Maybe it reminds me of the only romantic love I’ve ever known in my life (so far), or maybe not. Hmm… Mabe it’s the symbolism of flowers and thorns in this song. Truly sweet~

The dialogues in this episode is the same as the first chapter of the manga, so I don’t think you’ll need much help with the translation. Just follow the first chapter of the first volume~ They simply switched the sequence a bit so it starts with Misaki coming home to find Usagi-chan sensei hugging his brother Takahiro.

EDIT:
I forgot the cute small scene after the ending. Misaki asks Usagi why the bear is called ‘Suzuki-san’. Usagi says he wanted to have at least something normal/common in his household. Japan’s three common names are Suzuki, Satou and Tanaka, and since Usagi says Suzuki is the most common one, he named the bear Suzuki. No, he has more than one Suzuki. A lot of them, actually. And then Misaki tentatively tells Usagi that actually, the acknowledged most common Japanese name is Satou, not Suzuki. Usagi gets a shock of his life (lol~).
