I’ve decided to put up this page just in case you guys needed to ask anything about Junjou.info Just leave a comment and I’ll try to answer where and when I can, k?

1). Why is it necessary to register to access direct downloads? (NEW)

Ooh, la la… Maybe you find it annoying that you have to register before you can download the files, but I have the right to be annoyed when download rules are breached and not followed. Let me make a list of the reasons:

1. First of all, they are direct downloads, which are served by Junjou.info’s own server.
2. The server is paid for by me and JI supporters who are kind enough to donate their hard earned money. It’s only fair that we request merry downloaders to abide to our rules.
3. To protect the files from being hotlinked by unreasonable people out there.
4. I stated clearly before all download links that if you’re downloading the files, you HAVE to leave a comment. Apparently, a lot of people doesn’t understand. This is taken as a show of disrespect towards our SOLE request, so actions need to be taken.
5. Last but not least… Is it so hard to show some appreciation? *sigh*

2). Guide to Using SoftSub (Soft Subtitles)

Preferrably, you should have Media Player Classic that comes along with the installation of K-Lite Mega Codec Pack. If you have the old version, uninstall the old one and get the new one here. I’ve experienced trouble with the old ones, so its better to use the new one.

1. Make sure the Video.avi and Video.smi are in the same folder and bear the same filename except for the extension. If the avi file is junjou.avi, then the subtitle file MUST be junjou.smi

2. If you’re using MacOS, rename the smi extension to srt. If you’re a Windows user, skip this part.

3. Play the video file. The subtitle should load by itself.

4. In the case where the subtitles aren’t showing, try these steps:
a. Run the video
b. Go to File > Load Subtitle >
c. Search for the subtitle file
d. Play the video.

5. If you still can’t see the subtitles, then uninstall your current codec. Install K-Lite Mega Codec Pack (click here to get the codec). Just click next to everything when you’re installing the codec. Restart your computer and try playing the video again.

3). File.ZIP and File.RAR

Sometimes, the file you’re trying to download ends with RAR and not ZIP. RAR files are very much like ZIP files - both are compressed files that you need to extract. You’ll need to have programs like WinRAR to open RAR files and other compression extensions including TAR, GZ and many more. It may be a nice idea to get WinRAR because while WinZip only allows you to unzip and archive/compress ZIP files. WinRAR, on the other hand, can help you extract most compressed files.

So don’t worry if you’re downloading a RAR file. It’s just another type of file compression

NOTE (from Quick Updates on 30.05.08) - Please don’t ask me what a RAW is, or how do you watch a video file. There’s a section called ‘Help & Guide’, in case you didn’t notice. I’d also like to kindly remind EVERYONE that this is a BLOG, not a regular fansite or website. I hope you’re familiar with the fact that blogs DO contain PERSONAL opinions and RAMBLINGS. Updating the site means ADDING NEW BLOG ENTRIES, so it’s not my fault that you keep going to other pages instead of the main page and complain about the lack of updates on THAT old page. Please also kindly remember that I’m just a normal human being and I happen to have a life outside of this virtual world.
